We’re looking for a dynamic Finance Manager 🧾 to join our team !

What will you be doing?

As a Finance manager, together with the accountant, you are responsible for the accounting and compliance of the Cheqroom entities. This will include consolidation, monthly fast-closing, year-end closing, coordinating payroll administration and preparation for annual audit activity. Next to the bookkeeping, you will work very closely with our external accountants and tax consultants in order to be compliant with local tax and accounting standards.

• You will establish internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
• Work together with the accountant on accounting & compliance of the Cheqroom entities (BE and USA).
• Overseeing the preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets. You are a bookkeeping lover
• You will be responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year throughout our different legal entities (Belgium & US) and ensure that it is submitted on time.
• Auditing accounts to ensure compliance with country regulations. You will also coordinate and keep and healthy relationship with local tax advisors.
• You will prepare reporting on the financial statements as part of the board reports
• Ad hoc projects together with the extended leadership team at Cheqroom
• You will work together with our Head of Finance
  

Are you the one?

• Have experience as Accountant/Controller/Finance manager
• Have experience with analytical bookkeeping and understand the dynamics of fast close and experience in running group consolidation
• Have experience in setting up accounting procedures
• You have a get-it-done mindset. You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and do what it takes to get the job done with minimal supervision
• You are eager to learn about new things
• You are eager to optimize processes
• You are detail-oriented, and set your standards high.
• You feel comfortable when ideas are shared and challenged
• Full professional fluency in English, both verbal and written

Bonus points if you

• Have experience in a software as a service/scale-up company
• Have experience in handling payroll
• Have experience in Netsuite
• Have experience in accounting & tax for US entities
